Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the official platform for the "Bengal Boyz" (hereinafter referred to as “Project”) movie project, the first student-funded film in history. By participating as an investor and purchasing units of investment, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Project Overview

  1. 1.1. The "Bengal Boyz" movie is a student-produced film with a total investment requirement of BDT 80,000,000.
  2. 1.2. The project duration is estimated to be 24 months from August 2025 to August 2027. This timeline encompasses all phases of production, post-production, and release.
  3. 1.3. The investment will encompass 40,000 units, each priced at BDT 2,000.

2. Timeline for the Project (24 Months)

  1. 2.1. Crowdfunding Phase: August 2025 to May 2026 - Aiming to raise funds through online contributions from students and supporters.
  2. 2.2. Shooting Phase: January 2026 – April 2026 - Principal photography and filming of the movie.
  3. 2.3. Post-Production Phase: May 2026 – October 2026 - Editing, sound design, visual effects, and final preparations.
  4. 2.4. Theatrical Release in Bangladesh: 04 December 2026 - Official premiere and screening in Bangladesh.
  5. 2.5. International Release: 26 December 2026 - Film release in international markets.
  6. 2.6. OTT Platform Release: 14 April 2027 - Available for streaming on popular OTT platforms.
  7. 2.7. Disbursement of investment amount along with profit: August 2027.

3. Eligibility and Investment Participation

  1. 3.1. The investment opportunity is open exclusively to students of Bangladesh, including residents and non-residents.
  2. 3.2. Expatriate Bangladeshi students can participate as producers by purchasing units.
  3. 3.3. For students under 18 years of age, parental or guardian approval is required, and their parents or guardians will make the purchase on their behalf.
  4. 3.4. Each invested unit will be recognized under the student’s name, who will be considered as the producer of that unit.
  5. 3.5. Any student, after purchasing units shall be regarded as “Producer”/ “Elite Producer” of this Project.

4. Investment Terms

  1. 4.1. Each unit of investment costs BDT 2,000 (two thousand).
  2. 4.2. Producer/s can purchase one or multiple units as their investment contribution.
  3. 4.3. After completing the online registration and payment process, the investor will be designated as an "Elite Producer" of "Bengal Boyz" corresponding to the number of units purchased.
  4. 4.4. Producers are encouraged to provide interesting and engaging content information online to enhance the Project.

5. Payment Method

  1. 5.1. Students can make online payments conveniently via their preferred Mobile Financial Services (MFS) accounts, including bKash, Nagad, and Rocket. The website will also feature a dedicated payment button for debit card transactions. Apart from MFS and cards, students can also buy investment units directly from different activation booths and the "Bengal Boyz" production office by paying cash.
  2. 5.2. Upon successful payment, a “Producer Certificate” will be promptly issued to the student (hereinafter referred to as the "Producer/s.") This certificate will be sent to the email address provided during the transaction. Additionally, a money receipt for the investment amount will be issued.
  3. 5.3. Producers have the flexibility to purchase a minimum of 1 unit and a maximum of 500 units of investment.
  4. 5.4. It is an essential term and condition for of this Project that Producers are prohibited from transferring or reselling their investment units to any third party.

6. Producer Identification

  1. 6.1. The name of the Producer who purchased units will be officially recorded as producers.
  2. 6.2. In case of minors, the parent’s or guardian’s name will be used for investment purposes, but the actual producer’s name will be that of the student.

7. Profit Sharing and Income Estimates

  1. 7.1. If a profit is generated, 70% of the dividend will be returned to the producers.
  2. 7.2. In the event of a disaster or a non-profit situation, all revenue generated from the Project shall be distributed among the Producers based on each Producer's respective investment units.

8. Investment Use and Project Management

  1. 8.1. The entire investment will be allocated toward film production, marketing, distribution, and related expenses.
  2. 8.2. The project team will provide regular updates to Producers regarding the Project's progress. These communications will cover all key stages, including story development, casting, the production and post-production schedules, and the final release. All updates will be delivered through the official platform.

9. Additional Terms

  1. 9.1. All investments are non-refundable unless otherwise specified on this official website.
  2. 9.2. No guarantee is made regarding the film’s commercial success or income generation.
  3. 9.3. Producer/s agree to abide by all Project rules, including content guidelines and online disclosures.

10. Legal and Miscellaneous

  1. 10.1. Participation in this Project is entirely voluntary. By becoming Producers, students confirm their acknowledgment and understanding of all inherent risks.
  2. 10.2. The Project team reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions with prior notice.
  3. 10.3. By completing the online investment process, students (Producers) who are inclined to invest agree to these terms and conditions.
